Girshriela Green found employment at a Wal-Mart in South Central Los Angeles in 2009, through California’s welfare-to-work program. Two years later, she was injured on the job. Here the mother of six talks about working for low wages, and then living on $511 disability every two weeks, and two hundred dollars in food stamps.
Gomez on Wednesday July 16, 2014:
Its sad to hear stories like these. I really feel sorry for her and what happened to her. The amount we all know is so small and she has to raise a 6 year old. I wonder how she manages his tuition fee and all. My opinion is that, these people should be provided with some good job suitable to their conditions. That’s the right way to help these people out of their sufferings.
